Cover Illustration: Image of adult zebrafish brain sections processed for in situ hybridization against early growth response factor 1 (egr I). Whole-mount brains were hybridized overnight with DIG-labelled antisense RNA, sectioned on a Vibratome, fixed on microscope slides, and treated for 4 h with BCIP/NBT. Images were taken with a Zeiss Axioplan 2 using a 10X objective. Stereoscopic picture of adult zebrafish brain is a composite of approximately 15 photographs assembled with Adobe Photoshop CS3.
