INTRODUCTION
This procedure provides a quick and inexpensive method for plant DNA isolation. When used with Arabidopsis, this procedure yields quite good-quality DNA that is suitable as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) template for cleaved amplified polymorphic sequences (CAPS) or simple sequence length polymorphism (SSLP) markers. It yields enough DNA to test a large number of markers. It is recommended in cases when many markers will be tested on the same samples.
