Selection and Evaluation of Tag-SNPs Using Tagger and HapMap

Paul I.W. de Bakker

Adapted from Genetic Variation (eds. Weiner et al.). CSHL Press, Cold Spring Harbor, NY, USA, 2007.

INTRODUCTION

The HapMap can guide the design and analysis of genome-wide association studies by documenting not only the location of these single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) but also the correlation structure between them. This article describes how to use the Tagger web server for tag-SNP selection and evaluation using HapMap data.
