M9 minimal medium (modified)

Reagent Amount to add (for 50 mL)
M9 salts (5X) 10 mL
Glucose (20%; Sigma-Aldrich)a 2.5 mL
MgSO4 (1 M; Fisher Scientific)b 100 μL
CaCl2 (1 M; Fisher Scientific)b 5 μL
H2O 37.5 mL
Trace metals (1000X; Sigma-Aldrich)c 12.5 μL
BME vitamins (100X; Sigma-Aldrich)d 125 μL
aFilter-sterilize and store at 4°C.
bAutoclave and store at room temperature.
cAutoclave and store at 4°C.
dFilter-sterilize and store at -20°C.
