CTAB plant extraction buffer

Reagent Amount to add (for 1 L) Final concentration
Tris (1 M, pH 7.5) 100 mL 100 mM
NaCl (5 M) 140 mL 700 mM
EDTA (0.5 M) 20 mL 10 mM
CTAB (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) 10 g 1%
H2O to 990 mL -
β-Mercaptoethanola 10 mL 1%
aAdd β-mercaptoethanol to the solution just prior to use; mix by shaking.
