Dissolve 111 g of CAPS (3-[Cyclohexylamino]-1-propanesulfonic acid) in H2O, and adjust the pH to 10.5 with NaOH. Raise the final volume to 1 liter with H2O. The final concentration will be 500 mM CAPS.
