KCl (Potassium chloride)
For a 1 M solution of KCl, dissolve 74.55 g of KCl in 900 mL of H2O. Make up the volume to 1 L with H2O and autoclave for 20 min on liquid cycle. Store at room temperature.
Ideally, this solution should be divided into small (~100 μL) aliquots in sterile tubes and each aliquot thereafter used only once.
