Formamide loading buffer

80% (w/v) deionized formamide

1 mg/mL xylene cyanol (xylene cyanol FF)

1 mg/mL bromophenol blue

10 mM EDTA (pH 8.0)

Purchase a distilled deionized preparation of formamide and store in small aliquots under nitrogen at −20°C.
