To prepare a 1 M solution: Dissolve 1.45 g of spermidine (free-base form) in 10 ml of deionized H2O and sterilize by passing it through a 0.22-μm filter. Store the solution in small aliquots at -20°C. Make a fresh stock solution of this reagent every month.
