Buffered phenol red solution

Reagent Amount to add
10X PBS 1.0 mL
1 M MgCl2 (Sigma M1028) 10.0 μL
0.4% (w/v) phenol red (Fisher P391) in H2O 5.0 mL
H2O (endotoxin-free) 3.99 mL
To prepare 10 mL of stock solution, combine the above reagents. Store at room temperature.
