Observation culture medium
DME medium without phenol red
10% fetal bovine serum (FBS)
20 mM HEPES buffer (pH 7.3)
DME medium can be replaced with any medium, but when observing red fluorescence (e.g., from rhodamine), phenol red may cause visual interference and should be removed or reduced in order to distinguish the red fluorescence from the medium.
