High-sucrose germination medium

Agar

1 N KOH

1X MS salts (GIBCO)

2-[N-Morpholino]ethanesulfonic acid (MES)

Sucrose

For 1 liter of medium, dissolve 1X MS salts, 0.5 g of MES, and 45 g of sucrose in H2O. Adjust pH to 5.7 with 1 N KOH. Add agar to a final concentration of 0.7%.
