Recipe

Marc’s modified Ringer’s (MMR) (1X)

0.1 M NaCl

2 mM KCl

1 mM MgSO4

2 mM CaCl2

5 mM HEPES (pH 7.8)

0.1 mM EDTA

Sterilize by autoclaving, and store at room temperature.

Common alternative formulations of MMR omit EDTA and are adjusted to pH 7.4.
