LiCl-urea solution for RNA isolation

LiCl (3 M), RNase-free

Urea (6 M), RNase-free (e.g., Fisher, AC32738-0010)

Prepare the LiCl-urea solution in diethyl pyrocarbonate (DEPC)-treated H2O, and filter it through a 0.2-μm filter. Use the solution at 0°C. Store it for up to 1 mo at 4°C.
