Alkaline phosphatase (AP) ctenophore buffer

Reagent Quantity (for 10 mL) Final concentration
MgCl2 (1 M) 0.5 mL 50 mM
NaCl (5 M) 0.2 mL 100 mM
Tris-Cl (1 M, pH 9.5) 1 mL 100 mM
Tween 20 (20%) 0.25 mL 0.5%
H2O to 10 mL
This buffer can be prepared with or without MgCl2.
Make sure to use a fresh stock of Tween 20; if it is not fresh, the buffer will turn cloudy.
Prepare buffer the same day it is to be used; store at room temperature.
