Chlorazol black E

3.0 g chlorazol black E (C.I. 30235)

300 mL aqueous ethanol (70%)

Dissolve the dye (using magnetic stirrer for 30 min at room temperature), then filter the solution. It keeps for ~9 mo, gradually losing strength as a black precipitate forms on the bottom and sides of the bottle.
