Acetylation solution

Reagent Amount to add Final concentration
Triethanolamine 1.33 mL 0.1 M
37% HCl 0.175 mL 0.65%
RO-H2O 100 mL --
Acetic anhydride 0.375 mL 0.375% (v/v)
RO-H2O is H2O that has been purified by reverse osmosis (18 MΩ).
Add 1.33 mL triethanolamine and 0.175 mL concentrated HCl (37%) to 100 mL RO-H2O and mix until dissolved. Immediately before use, add 0.375 mL acetic anhydride.
