Salmon sperm DNA stock for SISH (50X)

Salmon sperm DNA

RO-H2O (RNase-free H2O that has been purified by reverse osmosis [18 MΩ])

For a 50X stock solution, mix 500 mg of salmon sperm DNA with 10 mL of RO-H2O. Shear with a 17-gauge hypodermic needle and adjust the volume to 20 mL. Divide into 1-mL aliquots and store at −20ºC.
