Wright stain
Add 1.5 g of Wright stain directly to a fresh 500-mL bottle of methanol. Add a magnetic stirring bar, replace the cap, and stir overnight. Filter the stain, dispensing the filtrate into a dark 500-mL bottle (to protect the stain from light). Store at room temperature.
