Gelatin coating solution

0.5 g chromium potassium sulfate (chrom-alum)

5 g gelatin

1000 mL H2O

Dissolve the gelatin in the H2O by warming to ~60ºC and stirring. Then add the chromium potassium sulfate. Filter the solution to remove any dust. This coating must be made fresh each time.
