Paraformaldehyde fix

Reagent Amount to add Final concentration
PBS (1X) 10 mL --
Paraformaldehyde 0.2-0.4 g 2%-4%
Preheat 1X PBS for a few seconds in microwave before adding the paraformaldehyde. Place in a 60ºC oven or waterbath for 0.5-1 h, or heat on a stir plate for 10-15 min. Do not leave longer than is necessary to dissolve the paraformaldehyde or it will evaporate. Prepare fresh daily.
