Block solution 2

Reagent Amount to add (for 400 mL) Final concentration
Bovine serum albumin (BSA) (minimum 98%) 4 g 1%
5 M NaCl 12 mL 3%
Triton X-100 1.2 mL 0.3%
1 M Tris-Cl (pH 7.5) 40 mL 10%
H2O (RNase-free) 346 mL 86.5%
Dissolve BSA in H2O by stirring vigorously at room temperature. Add other reagents and mix by stirring at room temperature.
Store block solution at room temperature until needed. Solution may be kept for 1 d at 4°C.
