DEPC-treated H2O, sterile

DEPC (diethyl pyrocarbonate; e.g., Sigma-Aldrich)

Add 1 mL of DEPC to 1 L of H2O and shake vigorously to mix. Autoclave for 20 min on liquid cycle to sterilize and deactivate DEPC.
