Chrome alum

Gelatin

Poly-L-lysine (m.w. >300,000; Sigma)

Sodium azide

METHOD

  • 1. Bring 200 mL of H2O to 60°C.

  • 2. Add 0.4 g of gelatin and cool to 40°C.

  • 3. Add 0.04 g of chrome alum.

  • 4. Add sodium azide to 1 mM.

  • 5. Add poly-L-lysine to 1 mg/mL.

  • 6. Put the subbing solution in a Coplin jar and store it at 4°C.
