Wheat grass powder (Pines International, Inc.)

Bio Herbe de Blé (l’Arbre de Vie) can also be used but is not suitable for rich Paramecium culture medium.

Water, Millipore-filtered

Autoclave

Filter, cotton gauze

1. Add 50 g of wheat grass powder to 750 mL of Millipore-filtered water in a glass flask.
2. Boil for 15 min.
3. Filter the suspension through a thick layer of cotton gauze. Press to recover as much fluid as possible.
4. Adjust the volume to 1 L with Millipore-filtered water. Distribute the medium into five 200-mL flasks.
5. Autoclave for 20 min at 120°C.

Store the sterilized stock solution for weeks at 4°C-5°C.
