Paraformaldehyde stock solution (16%)
Add 8 g of paraformaldehyde to 50 mL of water. Heat to 60°C-65°C, until the solution turns milky. Add 1 N NaOH dropwise while stirring until the solution clears. Cool to room temperature. Filter through a paper filter.
