Blocking DNA (50X)

MATERIALS

METHOD

• 1. Dissolve DNA from salmon testes in TE at 5 mg/mL.

• 2. Shear the DNA by sonication (at medium power) to an average size of ~500-1000 bp.

• 3. Filter-sterilize the solution.

• 4. Denature the DNA by heating for 15 min to 95°C, and rapidly chill on ice.

• 5. Aliquot the solution into convenient volumes and store at -20°C.
