| To prepare medium or agar, mix the ingredients together in a final volume of 1 L of H2O. Autoclave for 20 min. Cool the medium to 50ºC before pouring plates (24 × 24 cm).

| Yeast nitrogen base without amino acids (YNB) is sold either with or without ammonium sulfate. This recipe is for YNB with
ammonium sulfate. If the bottle of YNB is lacking ammonium sulfate, add 5 g of ammonium sulfate and only 1.7 g of YNB.
