| Dissolve the reagents in ~950 mL of H2O. Add 0.8 g of EGTA (to give a final concentration of 1 mM). Bring the solution to pH 7.2 with NaOH. Note that the EGTA will
take a few minutes to dissolve and that it changes the pH as it dissolves. Adjust the final volume to 1 L with H2O.
