PTU water (50X)

1-Phenyl-2-thiourea (PTU) (Sigma-Aldrich), 150 mg

Blue water (post-fertilization), 100 mL

Add 150 mg of PTU to 100 mL of post-fertilization blue water to make a 50X (10 mM) stock. PTU may precipitate at room temperature. Heat to 60°C to redissolve PTU. Dilute to 1X (0.2 mM) by adding blue water.
