Slice Culture Medium

66 mL Basal medium Eagle

25 mL Hanks’ balanced salt solution

5 mL fetal bovine serum

1 mL N-2 supplement (100×)

1 mL penicillin–streptomycin–glutamine (100×)

2 mL d-(+)-glucose solution (33%) (Sigma-Aldrich)

Purchase components other than glucose from GIBCO/Invitrogen. Prepare slice culture medium fresh for each experiment. Filter through a 0.22-µm filter and store at 37°C.
