100 mL aCSF stock solution A (10×)

100 mL aCSF stock solution B (10×)

4.5 g glucose

600 mL H₂O

Adjust the final volume to 1 L with H₂O. Mix well and bubble with 95% O₂/5% CO₂. Check an aliquot of the 1× aCSF after making each new batch of stock solutions to confirm that the aCSF has a pH of 7.4 and an osmolarity of 310 mOsm when bubbled at room temperature with 95% O₂/5% CO₂.
