Ablation Medium

Heat a paste of yeast and H2O in a microwave until boiling. When cool, it should have the consistency of maple syrup. (This yeast suspension is used as a control for ablation.) For complete ablation, make a suspension of 10–50 mg of hydroxyurea/mL of yeast paste at room temperature. For partial ablation, start with 3 mg of hydroxyurea/mL. Vary the dose in subsequent experiments, depending on the result. Mix the suspension continually. Prepare fresh on each day of treatment.
