Insulin Stock (0.5 mg/mL)

To 20 mL of sterile water, add 10 mg of insulin (Sigma-Aldrich I6634) and 100 μL of 1.0 n HCl. Mix well. Filter through a 0.22-μm filter. Store at 4°C for 4–6 wk.
