T3 Stock (4 μg/mL)

Dissolve 3.2 mg of 3,3′,5-triiodo-l-thyronine sodium salt (T3; Sigma-Aldrich T6397) in 400 µL of 0.1 n NaOH. Add 10 µL of T3 solution to 20 mL of Dulbecco's phosphate-buffered saline (D-PBS; Gibco 14190-144). Filter through a 0.22-µm filter, discarding the first 10 mL. Make 200-µL aliquots, and store at −20°C.
