HEPES-Buffered Hanks Balanced Salt Solution (HHBSS) with Ca2+

Reagent Final concentration
HBSS (10×, with Ca2+ and Mg2+, no phenol red; Life Technologies)    1×
HEPES 20 mm
d-Glucose  2 g/L
Prepare solution in Chelex-treated ultrapure H2O. Adjust pH to 7.2 and sterilize using a bottle-top 0.22-µm filter. Store solution in a metal-free plastic container.
