Tyrode Solution for Bath Perfusion
| Reagent | Final concentration (mm) |
|---|---|
| NaCl | 130 |
| KCl | 5.4 |
| MgCl2 | 2 |
| CaCl2 | 1 or 1.8 |
| HEPES | 11.8 |
| Glucose | 10 |
| Adjust the pH of this solution to 7.4 with NaOH. The CaCl2 concentration will depend on the animal model used; generally, the concentration used is 1 mm for mouse myocytes and 1.8 mm for other types of myocytes (e.g., pig or dog myocytes). This solution can be prepared the day before the experiment, without glucose, and kept at 4°C until the time of the experiment. | |
