CsCl    10
MgCl2    2
CaCl2  1 or 1.8

Adjust the pH of this solution to 7.4 with NaOH. The concentration of CaCl2 will depend on the animal model used—generally, the concentration used is 1 mm for mouse myocytes and 1.8 mm for other types of myocytes (e.g., pig or dog myocytes). This solution can be prepared the day before the experiment, without glucose, and kept at 4°C until the start of the experiment.
