Paraformaldehyde (30%) YES Solution

Prepare fresh before use. For a 10-mL solution, add 3 g of paraformaldehyde and 0.5 mL of 5 n NaOH to 7.05 mL of yeast extract with supplements (YES) in a 50-mL polypropylene screw-cap tube. Vortex and incubate in a 65°C water bath for 10–15 min with further vortexing until the paraformaldehyde is completely dissolved. Cool to room temperature before use.
