Freeze-Substitution Cocktail

Acetone

2% osmium tetroxide

0.1% uranyl acetate

Dissolve osmium tetroxide and uranyl acetate in 100% acetone. Prepare the solution in a fume hood; osmium tetroxide is volatile and highly reactive.
