Acridine Orange Staining Solution (1 µm)

1. Prepare a stock solution of 1 mm acridine orange (Invitrogen A1301) in molecular-grade H2O. Cover with aluminum foil to minimize light exposure. Store at room temperature.

2. Immediately before use, dilute the stock solution with spring water to prepare a staining solution of 1 µm acridine orange.
