Histone H1 Kinase Assay Cocktail

Reagent Amount to add
Histone H1  5 mg
β-glycerophosphate 111 mg
1 m MgCl2  76 µL
0.5 m EGTA  204 µL
50 mm ATP  6.4 µL
Bring volume to 6.4 mL with H2O. Keep frozen in 500-µL aliquots. Combine with 50 µCi [γ-32P]ATP just prior to use.
