Egg Lysis Buffer Salts (ELB Salts; 10×)

Reagent Quantity (500 mL) Final concentration
MgCl2 (1 m) 12.5 mL  25 mm
KCl  18.64 g 500 mm
HEPES  11.91 g 100 mm
Add water to a volume of 500 mL. Adjust pH to 7.7 with KOH. Filter-sterilize, and store at 4°C.
