Steinberg's Solution (2×)

| Prepare 50 mL each of NaCl, KCl, Ca(NO3)2, MgSO4, and Tris stock solutions in dH2O, and filter to sterilize. Store stock solutions at room temperature. Before each use, freshly prepare 2× Steinberg's solution (50 mL) by combining the volumes of stock solutions listed, adjust the pH to 7.5 with sterile 1 n HCl, and then bring to a final volume to 50 mL with sterile dH2O. | |||
