Uranyl Acetate (1%, w/v)
Add 10 mL of ddH2O to a 15-mL conical centrifuge tube containing 10 mg of uranyl acetate powder. Cover the tube with foil and rotate it for several days in a cold room until fully dissolved. Filter through a 0.22-µm syringe filter that has be prerinsed well with ddH2O. Filtered stain can be used for >1 yr if stored at 4°C in a foil-wrapped tube.
