BMM (Buffered Minimal Methanol) Medium

H2O 800 mL
Add 100 mL of 1 m potassium phosphate buffer of a desired pH (pH 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8) and autoclave for 20 min on liquid cycle. Cool the solution to below 60°C and add:
YNB (10×) 100 mL
Biotin (0.02%)  2 mL
Methanol (100%)  5 mL
BMM stores well (without methanol) for several months at room temperature in the dark. Methanol may be added just before use.
