Hybridization Buffer for Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization (30%)

Reagent Quantity (for 40 mL) Final concentration
Formamide  12 mL    30%
Sodium chloride-sodium citrate buffer (SSC; 20×)  10 mL    5×
Citric acid (1 m, pH 6.0) 360 µL   9 mm
Tween 20 (10%) 400 µL    0.1%
Heparin (10 mg/mL; Sigma-Aldrich H3393) 200 µL 50 µg/mL
Denhardt's solution (100×) 400 µL    1×
Dextran sulfate (50%, w/v, in H2O)  8 mL    10%
Adjust to 40 mL with H2O. Store at −20°C.
