Oregon Green 488 BAPTA-1 AM Stock Solution (OGB-1 AM; 10 mm)
Prepare a stock solution of 10 mm Oregon Green 488 BAPTA-1 AM by preheating Pluronic F-127 (20% w/v in DMSO) in a 50°C water bath. Pipette 40 µL of heated Pluronic F-127 into a fresh vial of Oregon Green 488 BAPTA-1 AM containing 50 µg of dye. Heat this 10 mm stock solution for an additional 15 min, vortexing every 5 min. Check the color of the solution; it should be a yellow–orange. Store the solution for up to 4–6 mo at −20°C. Optional: Store with Drierite to minimize water moisture contamination.
