Anhydrotetracycline Hydrochloride Stock Solution (1000×)
Prepare a 400 µg/mL anhydrotetracycline hydrochloride (AHTc; Thermo Scientific AC233131000) solution in H2O. Filter-sterilize and store 1-mL aliquots at −20°C protected from light. These aliquots are stable for up to 1 yr if not subjected to repeated freeze–thaw cycles.

Although the typical solvents for anhydrotetracycline are ethanol or DMSO, we find that anhydrotetracycline decays less rapidly when dissolved in water at 400 µg/mL, a nearly saturated solution.
