Stacking Gel Mixture (4%)

Recipe

Tris-HCl (1.0 m, pH 6.8)	0.313 mL
Double-distilled H₂O	1.913 mL
Acrylamide/Bis solution 29:1 (30%; Bio-Rad)	0.25 mL
SDS, 10% (w/v)	0.025 mL
Ammonium persulfate, 10% (w/v)	0.025 mL
Tetramethylethylenediamine (TEMED;
Bio-Rad Laboratories 161-0801)	0.005 mL

Freshly prepare. Add TEMED last, immediately before pouring the gel solution into the gel casting apparatus.
